Role overview
You will build the backend of bespoke business applications — application logic, data models, services and APIs — with an emphasis on clarity and long-term maintainability.
This is an evergreen track — a permanently open talent pipeline rather than a dated vacancy. We review applications continuously and open a seat when we meet the right person.
Key responsibilities
- Develop backend services and business logic.
- Design data models and work with relational databases.
- Build and maintain backend APIs.
- Write automated tests and contribute to CI pipelines.
- Make scalability and reliability decisions with the infrastructure team.
Required skills & qualifications
- Professional backend experience with Node.js, Python, Go or a similar language.
- Strong SQL and data-modelling skills.
- Experience designing APIs for other developers.
- Testing discipline.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with event-driven or queue-based systems.
